in the recent past, i had occasions to visit nainital and stay at Hotel Elphinstone. It gave me homely ambience and the hospitality which was shown, with a personal touch is not to forget. Over the years, the hotel has changed its decor but what i like about this hotel is the rooms on the ground level, with lawn in front and bay-windows in the room. it gives a victorian feeling. I hope, with the change of time, the owners would not disturb those victorian rooms reminding us of the yester years. An excellent location, excellent view and tasty food. The cleanliness is worth appreciating.
