Calangute Residency makes an interesting study in contrast. People say that for a hotel only thing important is location. This hotel has the best location - Right on the beach.The contrast is in the poor upkeep of the property and service levels. The building can do with a makeover both from the exterior as well as the interiors.

Rooms are spacious but furniture does not look coordinated or contemporary. To put service levels mildly - There is a HUGE scope for improvement. To start with, rooms were not cleaned to our satisfaction. My husband then created a ruckus and safaiwala cleaned the room after we tipped generously in advance. Linen was of average quality and I am not sure whether it was dry washed. We were given pretty dirty towels and we complained and the complaint was not attended to.

Tip to visitors - Avoid staying at Calangute beach (not just at Calangute Residency). There are better hotels in the same budget in south goa. Beaches in south goa are also less crowded. If you are staying at Calangute Residency then make sure that you get the sea facing rooms with nice balcony.

you dont get proper see view from here..rooms are good.poor service.
