I have read reviews here and elsewhere that Homestays are the best option in Coorg. I called up almost every homestay and the tariff was beyond what I could afford and was definitely more than what is stated here at travelpaisa. That did not deter me and I decided to go with my friends to Madikeri by bus and we were confident of finding a cheap acco.

I had anyway noted vinaya lodge from travelpaisa as it is the cheapest one listed here and across the net. Well, we reached Madikeri and could easily as it opposite KSRTC bus stand. The lodge manager, Mr. Kamat, agreed to give us a room at Rs. 400 after much haggling. The room turned out to be pretty good. The room had attached toilet. However, we had to request for hot water which is supplied in buckets like they show in some ads.

No complaints good hotel for the tariff.
