Good thing about Goa is that there are more rooms than tourists. This is true for most part of the year except during Christmas, so you can try out many options and then settle for a room.Albenjoh Guest House is not bad but there are better options if you can scout. I did not enjoy Calangute much because of the police!. They do not let you go near the water as they come and whack you lietrally.
Baga beach is better and the happening nightlife - mammbo a pub run by Tito's is at Baga beach- Guys be warned Stags are not allowed in the pub and for couples entry is rs. 500
