When my friends told me that parking is difficult at Shimla, I sneered. Come on, I have lived in Delhi for over 10 years and if I can manage parking at Delhi, I can manage at Shimla whose car population must be a fraction of that in Delhi. Boy, was I wrong. I entered Shimla and figured that PARKING IS AN ISSUE. Luckily, the hotel Combermere has adequate parking. It is right in the MALL ( Friends - if you want to run away from Malls, Shimla is NOT the place. It's main road is called THE MALL.)Rooms are not luxurious but comfortable. I stayed at the one available for around Rs. 2,700/-.
The food they serve is best left unreviewed (do not want to remember again). They have a well stocked bar though. The roof top garden restaurant offers excellent view of Shimla and is good in late evenings.
Tariff is on the higher side owing to its location of being in the hub of Shimla. If you want to be away from the town, you can try cheaper options
