Bangalore - Shimoga - Goa Roadmap
- Reach Tumkur Highway from Bangalore via the newly opened fly-over at Nelamangala
> Tumkur (Take the bye-pass road to Shimoga). Bye-pass is not well marked, ask the toll attendant at toll gate before entering Tumkur. - Arasikere > Shimoga
> Sagar Proceed Straight

> Jog Falls (One need to take a small detour of 2 Kms to visit Jog Falls)
> Honnavar > (turn right onto NH17) >
> Kumata > Gokarna Road (A detour of 30 Kms from NH17 will take you to Gokarna Beach) > Karwar > Panjim, Goa - This is a pretty scenic drive. Road quality is good. Just watch out for occasional pot holes.
Possible Stopovers
1. River Tern at Lakkavalli , just before Shimoga, is an excellent resort run by Jungle lodges. Resort has water sports facility
