By Car: Bangalore to Goa
There are three popular road routes to reach Goa from Bangalore:
- 1. Via Shimoga - Honnavar (570 Kms) : Most prefered option - Good roads and excellent scenery.
- 2. Via Hubli - Karwar (647 Kms) : Drive along the well laid NH4 till Hubli. Scenic drive from Hubli
- 3. Via Amboli - Sawantwadi (680 Kms) : This is the best route if you are planning a long drive with stop-over at Amboli, a small hill station in Maharashtra. Excellent drive in early monsoons Or just after Monsoons.

Going by current road conditions we would suggest reaching Goa via Shimoga as it is the shortest one and drive is pretty scenic
