Potters Hill: Himachal has always been popular with honeymooners. We urge you to avoid crowded Shimla city and try Potters Hill, which is just 5 Kms west of Shimla. Potters Hill is an Eco-Tourism destination. Sceneries are excellent and you can for long walks with your beloved as you cherish the natural beauty. Do not miss the amazing sunset.

Himachal Govt in association with Forest Dept. offers accommodation facility in form of deluxe tents and cottages. Tents may be a bit too cramped for honeymoon and hence it might be wiser to opt for the more spacious cottages. Resort offer 2 nights 3 day package for Rs. 6,000 and that includes all meals. Tents are bit more economical at Rs. 4,000. You can check more details here at their website.

Coorg: Ooty and Kodai have been traditional honeymoon destinations in South India. Unfortunately, they can get monotonous and crowded. Coorg is a better bet as it has managed to remain unspoilt. Coorg is coffee land and there many estates who welcome guests and these estate  stays makes the entire proposition interesting. To make the best of estate stays and to get a discount, you can schedule your stay during week days. Coorg is quite close to Bangalore (250 KM). If you are in South India, you might not have to spend too much money on transportation to reach Coorg which is well connected by bus from Bangalore and Mysore.

4. Jungle Camp, Tyda : Tyda is a small village nestled in the hills of Eastern Ghats on the way to Araku from Vizag. Andhra Pradesh Govt has started a jungle resort to promote eco-Tourism at Tyda. The resort offers good cottage accommodation at Rs. 800/- per day. Excellent option for young couples to enjoy themselves and admire the rich flora and fauna. You can combine Tyda honeymoon with a beach stay at Rishikonda, which is just 8 kms from Vizag. Rishikonda has an excellent beach and AP Govt run Punnami resort is a good budget option. You can check all the details at the APTDC site .

Vishakapatnam is well connected by train and reaching there should not be an issue.
