The crescent shaped Palolem beach, with its silvery sands, is one of the most spectacular beaches in South Goa. For long, the beach remained virtually unknown to the outside world. If you seek solitude, head to some of the still “undiscovered” beaches near Palolem – Cola beach, Honeymoon beach or the impressive Butterfly beach which is set in a small island and accessible by boat.

Accommodation options at Palolem beach are restricted to beach huts. A typical beach hut is eco-friendly and built using local materials. Beach huts are put up during the tourist season and they vanish during monsoons. Tourists should check out the beach huts and then make the booking as quality standard vary hut by hut. It is better to stay at beach hut built on silts to avoid any hindrance from reptiles etc
