Bandipur National Park

Bandipur National park is undoubtedly one of the well-maintained national park in India. The forest cover at Bandipur is quite dense and evergreen. The major rivers within the park are Nugu (flows in the middle of the park), Kabini (southern tip near Nagarhole) and Moyar (near Madhumalai sanctuary. Machans near Moyar are popular for sighting animals)

From Bandipur, one can visit Mudumalai forest (which is just 12 Kms from Bandipur) and  Gopalswamy betta (Around 20 Kms from Bandipur en route to Mysore. Roads to Gopalswamy betta closes by 5 PM)

Reaching Bandipur

Bandipur is on Mysore - Ooty Road. From Mysore > Nanjagud > Gundulpet > Bandipur

Mysore to Bandipur Distance : 80 Kms
