Alibaug Beach
Alibaug is the general term used to refer cluster of beaches - Alibaug, Akshi, Nagaon, Thal, Kihim,Versoli, Awas, Sasavne, Mandwa. Of these Alibaug beach (the one within the town limits) gets crowded. Akshi, Thal and Kihim beaches are quiet and popular with those into bird-watching. In fact, Dr. Salim Ali, used to call Kihim beach as his home.

Alibaug Attractions
Kolaba fort : Situated in the midst of the sea at a distance of 1–2 km from the Alibag shores. This was one of the important forts in posession of Shivaji Maharaj. During low tides, tongas will take you to the fort or if you prefer, you can walk to the fort.
Kanakeshwar temple: An ancient temple with a legend that dates back to times of Mahabharata giving credence to the fact that Alibaug was an important town even in ancient times.
Chaul: Is a historic town situated about 15 km away from Alibag. It is famous for its Portuguese ruins, an old church, a synagogue, Buddhist caves, the Hamam Khana and a temple.
Of late, rich and famous of India have bought a weekend home at Alibaug. It just reaffirms that Alibaug is perfect as a short weekend getaway from Mumbai
