Alibaug beach is within Alibag town and from Alibag beach, one can visit Colaba fort only during low tides. The fort offers spectacular views and surprisingly there is a freshwater well inside the fort.

For Akshi and Nagoan beach, take the Revanda Road and watch out for sign boards. Both the beaches are relatively quiet and is the best choice for those seeking solitude and peace.

Kihim beach is north of Alibaug town at 11 Kms. It is relatively quiet but stony and hence not safe for a swim or even wading in water. Quite a few birds drop by at the Kihim beach in the morning. In fact, not many know that Dr. Salim Ali, the famous ornithologist used to call Kihim as his home.
