Rajasthan to highlight beyond sand dunes and palaces.
Rajasthan tourism is taking proactive measures to increase tourist inflows. The aim is to ensure that Rajasthan is known for other attractions like Buddhist caves, water bodies and wildlife apart from the established imagery of sand dune, forts, palaces and Havelies. Even amongst the forts, Rajasthan tourism wants to highlight magnificent Shergarh fort in Jhalawar. There are plans to nominate the monument for getting recognition as UNESCO world heritage site.
Most travel operators will agree that tourism department of Kerala and Rajasthan are most pro active in making tourism friendly policies. Hopefully, the policies will result in action and improve the tourism infrastructure.
