Bangalore to Kukke Subramanya Road Map

The straight route is to go via Hassan – Sakleshpur – Gundiya – Kukke Subramanya. This is the shortest route and on NH48. However, the quality of road from Sakleshpur to Gundiya is bad and can be tiresome if one is driving a B segment car.

The alternate route is to take the longer route via Madikeri. The road quality is average but better than NH48 route via Sakleshpur. The route to be followed is
Bangalore – Mandya - Srirangapatna – (Turn right) – Hunsur – Kushalnagar – Madikeri – Sulia – Kukke Subramanya.

Bangalore – Kukke Subramanya distance (Via Madikeri): 345 Kms (Approx)
Note : If one travels via Hassan, Bangalore - Kukke is only 270 Kms

Road from Bangalore to Kushalnagar is in excellent shape. Kushalnagar to Madikeri is manageable. The road from Madikeri to Kukke Subramanya is a district road in decent condition with minimal traffic. Needless to say, the scenery is excellent and thru coffee plantations and thick forests.

Kukke Subramanya is an important pilgrimage centre of Karnataka and visited as part of Dakshina Kannada Temple Itinerary.
